Auto Glass Price Comparison Website Glass.net Sponsors Auto Glass Technician Olympics

WALLA WALLA, WASH.—Glass.net, an auto glass shopping comparison website that partners with auto glass shops nationwide, has announced that it will sponsor the Third Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO) during Auto Glass Week in Las Vegas, Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.

The event is organized by the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and Auto Glass Repair and Replacement Magazine (AGRR) and provides an opportunity for highly skilled auto glass installers to compete against each other for the $5000 first place prize and the title of "World's Best Auto Glass Technician."

The contestants are judged according to an Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS) scorecard, which includes not just installation skill, but every aspect of the auto glass replacement appointment process—greeting the customer, inspecting the vehicle, installation standards and technique, post-installation and cleanup, and final customer wrap-up.

"This sponsorship is perfect for Glass.net," said Chad Kreutz, Vice President of Sales at QualitySmith, Glass.net's parent company. "Our primary goal is to establish fair auto glass prices and encourage safe, expert auto glass installations with great customer service, and the AGTO celebrates and rewards that kind of professionalism." Jason Richard, Glass.net Shop Care Manager, has published an article about the Auto Glass Technician Olympics sponsorship in Glass.net's blog for auto glass shops at http://blog.glass.net.
